Bio

My name is Mrs. Sunni Cooksey and I am the school counselor for WCJSHS. I am in my 9th year of education. The first five years of my career I taught Family and Consumer Sciences (Interior Design, Fashion Design, Life Connections, Personal Finance, Child Development, and Family and Parenting) at Gibson County High School. This school year begins my fourth year as a counselor at West Carroll.

I am originally from Dresden, TN. I  graduated high school in 2004 and immediately begin furthering my education at the University of Tennessee at Martin. Go Skyhawks!  All of my degrees were obtained at UTM. I received a B.S. in Education in May 2009, a B.S. in Child and Family Studies in August 2009, and a Master’s in School Counseling in December 2015.

I live in Medina with my two beautiful daughters! Adelyn McClaire is 3 and Maedyn Grace is 5 months. They are my pride and joy and being their mom is the greatest blessing in my life. I also have a bonus son, Blaine, who is 13 and is in 8th grade at Dyer School.

I am also a Trunk Keeper for Matilda Jane Clothing, a women’s and children’s clothing company. I love keeping little girls little! I also spend my spare time as an avid UT VOLS fan, reading a book, enjoying the beach, and cheering for my War Eagles!
